Only a trail horse
The trail horse ......Has to be precise as a dressage horse, placing its feet exactly right, without the help of the rider, cause the trail on the cliff is only 3 feet wide and drops down a 100 feet. The trail horse has to be surefooted, or we won’t go far. ......Must be courageous like a military horse, going happily where the rider wants it. No matter if sliding down a steep canon wall, or fording a wild river, climbing over trees and crossing a swamp. Walking on a rope bridge, bushwaking or crossing 5th avenue in NY. And if the rocks he walks on, are not stable, it will just keep going without flinching an eye. .......Has to be agile like a jumping horse, onto rocks, turning on 3 square feet and jumping down again, jumping across ditches and into heavy brush if asked. ......Has to have the stamina of a distance race horse, because 15 mils turn into 25 easily, when you get lost in the bush ......Has to be tranquil like a draft horse, not getting exited, when other horses are running behind him, because other riders don’t control their horses properly, or because a mountain bike comes shooting down the mountain. Drones flying overhead don’t bother him, nor will he be scared of the tarp coming of the roof at the campsite. ......Has to be fast like a racehorse, when you have to catch your packhorse running of, or when the lightning is closing in on you ......Has to comfortable like a Kentucky gated horse, cause this is how distances shrink while trotting. ......Has to be cool like a cutting horse, solving problems, his rider got him into ......Has to have cow sense, when you have to push through a crowded heard of cows or ward of the dogs of the Shepperd’s. ......Has to be patient and kind, cause the kids want to touch him, and the mare is standing in his way at the drought. But its only a trail horse. Translated from German. |

My name is Flash. Born Ramses IV. But who wants to be called that way. I was born in 1989 and am an OX Arabian. I have lived in Switzerland since 2002, and for 8 years before that we lived in the Black Forest, where I taught Peter to ride. Now I am enjoying my old age on the wide fields of Germany, where i am helping kids with disabilities enjoy a moment of bliss on my back. Flash died age 29 while grazing on his pasture. His dame followed him a week later.

Issyk-Kul. I was born 2007 as a Karabagh Budjonny and have lived in Switzerland since I was 1 year old. They call me Cool, and that’s what I am. In real life I am a mountain goat but I’m not so interested in the distances that my white college has covered. I do what’s needed but not more. I much prefer to have fun with my lady friend and take care of myself. I now live in the north part of Germany, guiding other horses through the area.

Artvin, born 2007 Kabardiner. I was born in Davos at the Lusiranch. I love going places and that’s without shooing on a Parelli rope.
I don't like too many people handling me, but I am willing to do what it takes to make my owner happy. I live in Switzerland and I am Peters Guide horse, doing up to 1500 km in the two summer month. Unfortunately i started having back problems, so i am given a new opportunity with Peters friends. My 3 Mustangs in Colorado plus the Argentine Quarterhorse: the Criollo
I sold Deets the black one to Pagosa Springs and only kept Rodeo, the Kentucky Saddlebreed free Range, Kiowa form Sand Wash Basin in Colorado and Ahi, the stocky Criollo from Argentina. Deets was sold to Pagosa Springs, because he just was to big with his 16 hands. |
